Every tattoo starts as a conversation. Here's how I take your ideas and turn them into a one-of-a-kind piece designed specifically for you.
There are no rigid rules in illustrative tattooing. Whether you come to me with a detailed vision or just a loose concept, I'll work with you to create something that's bold, considered, and completely custom. Every design is hand-drawn from scratch — no flash, no templates.

Every project starts with a conversation. You tell me what you're thinking — subject matter, placement, size, any references or themes that resonate with you. Don't worry if your idea isn't fully formed yet. Some of the best pieces start with just a feeling or a loose concept.
I'll ask questions to understand what matters to you and what you're hoping to achieve. This is where collaboration begins.
For larger pieces, I start with thumbnail sketches — quick, rough explorations of different compositions and approaches. This is where I figure out how the design will flow with your body, what poses or arrangements work best, and how all the elements fit together.
These early sketches aren't about detail — they're about finding the strongest foundation for the final piece.

Once we've landed on a direction, I develop the sketch further — working out anatomy, structure, and detail. At this stage you'll see the design taking shape and we can make adjustments together.
Collaboration doesn't stop when drawing begins. Your feedback shapes the final piece, and I want you to feel invested in every decision we make.

The finished design is fully rendered — colour, tone, and all the details locked in. For some pieces this means a complete digital painting; for others, a refined line drawing that leaves room for decisions made on the day.
By this point, you know exactly what you're getting. The design is yours alone — it won't exist on anyone else's body.
Illustrative tattooing doesn't follow a strict formula. I draw from traditional, Japanese, neo-traditional, and comic book influences — blending them in whatever way serves your idea best.
Fantasy creatures, portraits, animals, pop culture, mythology, abstract concepts — if you can imagine it, I can design it. The illustrative approach means I'm not limited to one visual language.
Great tattoos work with your anatomy, not against it. Every design considers placement, muscle flow, and how the piece will move with you over time.
Bold lines, considered contrast, thoughtful colour choices. Every decision is made with longevity in mind — so your tattoo looks as strong in 20 years as it does fresh.
You're not just a client — you're part of the creative process. Your input, feedback, and vision drive the work from start to finish.
